On the local Singapore scene, in late 2016 the very forward thinking
Mdm Nur Liyana, Head of Environmental Education at Juying Primary School responded to information on Solmates and instigated our peer to peer program with her students.
The Juying Primary School students raised funds and purchased a number of lights.
The school then conducted classes on the program, including solar energy, science and sustainability and the student assembled and prepared the lights for delivery to Mangri Village in Nepal.
After two flights, a day by road and 5 days by foot and donkey they received their lights making them the happiest village in Nepal.
