Mdm Nur Liyana, Head of Environmental Education at Juying Primary School responded to information on Solmates and instigated our peer to peer program with her students.

The Juying Primary School students raised funds and purchased a number of lights.

The school then conducted classes on the program, including solar energy, science and sustainability and the student assembled and prepared the lights for delivery to Mangri Village in Nepal.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT US

The Solmates peer to peer  concept  took bud in the hearts  of Jim Fraser and Yan Liu in July, 2015, funding projects In Somalia with grade 2 children.

The impact they made was mind blowing and inspired them to design the great new  initiative for children only.

The founders have worked in the international humanitarian field with NGOs such as Concern Worldwide, UNHCR, Red Cross, Save the Children and more.

They have dedicated themselves to providing affordable lighting solutions to refugees and the 1.3 billion people living off the grid around the world.
